BONNIE CLELAND

Bonnie has been dancing for as long as she can remember, participating in a wide variety of solo styles, performances, and competitions. The first Lindy Hop social dance in Kamloops ignited her interest and so she joined up with Justin to form a dynamic teaching team, and to grow the swing dance beginnings since the origin of our community. Since then, she has taught numerous lesson series and workshop classes and traveled widely to attend workshops, competitions and other dance events. Bonnie is an exuberant and expressive dancer who is always excited to learn and share new things and her students resonate with the energy she brings to her classes. Outside of Lindy in the loops, Bonnie also develops her dance teaching skills working as an instructor of Akimbo Studios

Blake Hogg

Blake has been a core part of Lindy in the Loops and also for the TRU Swing Dance Club. He has traveled for dance, performed choreography, and taught with us for many years. Outside of Lindy in the Loops, Blake is also a performer for our Kamloops improv troupe, the Freudian Slips. He is passionate about improvisation in and out of dance--this becomes obvious when you dance with Blake, as he loves to improvise his steps and movements on the dance floor, while fostering a strong connection to the music. Blake always aims to embody musicality in his dancing and loves to teach musicality in his classes.

Kazia Poore

Kazia has been with Lindy in the Loops since 2018. She has a passion for learning, and as such has delved into other dances including blues and balboa. She is eager to spread the joy that dancing brings and loves seeing new faces on the dance floor. Kazia also expresses herself through photography and painting, which is often inspired by dance, emotion, and movement. She loves the creativity and expression that can come with dancing and strives to teach each dancer to find their voice.

Jedd MacMillan

Jedd is one of our most keen and committed dancers at Lindy in the Loops. You can usually find him at our social dances helping make the energy of the dance floor come alive with every dance partner. In addition to his interest in social dancing, Jedd has also been heavily involved in our choreographed performances around Kamloops. Jedd is passionate about teaching both in and outside of dance. He also has experience as an educator with both the BC wildlife park and as the head instructor at Lynx Historical Martial Arts. Jedd is very playful and creative on the dance floor and always makes sure his partner feels comfortable to express themself.

Dani Neville

Dani Neville has been dancing with Lindy in the Loops since 2022 where she fell in love with the community. Ever since she has been involved in some capacity whether it’s running the door, admin, or teaching. She has a dance background in ballroom, you may recognize her from Dance with Me Kamloops. Dani is excellent at breaking down movements and loves to teach beginners the joys of Lindy Hop. She has a fun and graceful presence on the dance floor. Outside of dance you can find Dani with a nice cup of tea and a good book, or crocheting.
