Swing 2 Series (5 weeks)
Early Spring 2025
This is a lesson series designed for anyone who has taken our Swing 1 series, or anyone who is familiar with 6-count Lindy Hop!
Our Swing 2 Series is a continuation of our Swing 1 series that introduces dancers to another type of rhythm, and further expands on partner dancing concepts and fundamentals. You will learn some iconic moves commonly seen in the Lindy Hop community, like the famous Swing-Out! If you’ve taken our Swing 1 series, and/or have come to at least 3 social dance beginner lessons, then this is the class for you!
Partner dancing can seem daunting and a bit scary, but we guarantee that you will develop confidence on the dance floor and have a great learning experience. Our teachers and our dance community believe that anyone can learn and enjoy dance. We aim to foster a welcoming and inclusive community, and we would love to share with you our passion for vintage jazz music, dance, and culture.
This 5-week series offers much more than the beginner drop-in lessons. You will learn the essential technique, rhythm, and moves that are iconic to swing dancing. Each lesson builds on the previous lesson, and the instructor caters to the class skill level. If you want to further invest your time into really getting to know this dance, then we encourage you to take this series!
